We are as new as this tiny baby puppy. If you are wondering, this is a German Shepherd puppy, literally minutes old, isn't she precious. We have been working hard behind the scenes to get things moving, and now we are ready to begin our public life as Brush Creek Service and Therapy Dog Center, Inc. Be on the lookout for us at events around our communities and out working dogs in public, usually around Stillwater, but also in Cushing, Bristow, Drumright and Perkins. If you see us and you have been following us, please don't hesitate to stop and say hi.
The average number of veterans committing suicide in our country every day is 17 for 2020, isn't that an astounding number? We believe that providing service dogs and bringing awareness about PTSD will help people recognize the need to seek help. If you are a veteran in need of immediate help or know one, dial 988 and choose option 1, or you can send a text to 838255.
Our website is launched to the public and this has been no small feat as we are all working our regular jobs and taking care of our other duties and putting together a website, well really an entire business, and all this requires us learning new stuff. It's exciting but challenging too, please visit www.brushcreekservicedogs.org to see the fruits of our labor.
As always, we appreciate all our supporters, whether you are giving money, or time, or are just cheering us on from the sidelines. If you wish to donate to help us to place service dogs with Veterans and First Responders struggling with PTSD, you can text servicedog to 53555, we thank you for your consideration.
